Responsibilities
- Conducting initial screenings, evaluating mental health needs, and in some cases, diagnosing conditions.
- Developing individualized nursing care plans and working with a team to create comprehensive recovery plans.
- Administering, monitoring, and managing psychiatric medications.
- Providing individual, group, or family therapy and counseling to help patients cope with their conditions.
- Providing immediate support and stabilization during mental health crises.
- Teaching patients and their families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and self-care activities.
- Coordinating care, managing treatment regimens, and ensuring comprehensive support for patients.
Qualification
At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse working on an Psych unit within the last 2 years.
